The World Really is Your Oyster!
Come join us in an art walk with Lowcountry History Strolls in collaboration with Hagan Fine Art Gallery. We are hosting a splendid spring afternoon tracing Charleston's Art History from the time of her renaissance, through modern day art.
Stroll with us to see the beginnings of all we hold dear; the Gibbes Art Museum, the Preservation Society, the Charleston Museum and the Historic Charleston Foundation and learn the secret of how it all started here. Get an in depth look at what Charleston's Renaissance artists believed as we see Charleston through their eyes, revealing the legacy they left for you and me.
We will also discover modern artist’s creations when visiting Hagan Fine Art, who is hosting a show for the contemporary artist Amy Dixon. See Amy’s abstracted Oysters below and get a behind the scenes look at what today's artist's are thinking and feeling. Watch while Amy creates, hearing from gallery owner Karen Hewitt Hagan about how she paints, what she uses in her works, and what she finds inspiring in today’s modern world.
It’s truly old meeting new, ending with a toast of bubbly and small bites too, at Hagan Fine Art’s new gallery location at historic 125 Church Street.
Join us Thursday, May 11th, 3:30-5:00 PM at 117 Broad Street, ending at Hagan Fine Art Gallery for bubbly, bites and viewing until 6:00 PM.
Sign up by taking a picture of the QR Code on the invitation above. Space is limited, so take a step of inspiration today!
We'll see you there,
Karen
